New Year Celebrations at McLarens Group Signal the Start of a New Chapter
In celebration of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, McLarens Group hosted a gathering that blended tradition with forward-looking intent, marking a significant moment for the company under its new leadership. The event brought together employees from across the Group, symbolising unity as McLarens embarks on its next phase of growth and transformation.
The celebration began with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp alongside a vibrant Avurudu kavili table, creating a culturally rich setting for the occasion. Addressing employees, Kanchana Wijesekara emphasised collaboration, resilience and shared responsibility as McLarens moves forward. Shehara de Silva, Group Managing Director, followed by speaking on the significance of new beginnings and the opportunities ahead, highlighting the Group’s commitment to strengthening its core sectors. Employees were also presented with an overview of the company’s strategic direction, providing clarity on management’s way forward and key priorities for the year ahead.
The celebration concluded on a note of optimism, encouraging employees to embrace shared values and collective ambition.
