The McLarens Group Business Transformation Team was recognized at the National Convention on Quality and Productivity (NCQP) 2026, for its innovative approach to process improvement in the Kaizen Competition. Organized by the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Quality and Productivity (SLAAQP), this year’s convention was held under the theme "People Driven Quality and Productivity for a Resilient Sri Lanka," bringing together organizations from across the country to showcase excellence in quality and continuous improvement.

The award was presented for the team's Automation of the Group Financial Consolidation Report, a project that transformed a legacy manual process into a sophisticated web-based solution. By automating the consolidation process, the initiative has enhanced data accuracy, significantly reduced processing time and improved operational efficiency, demonstrating the value of digital transformation in strengthening business performance.

The recognition reflects McLarens Group's ongoing commitment to innovation, operational excellence and continuous improvement. It also highlights the collaborative efforts of the project team, including Imalka Kumarapelli, Suzanne Lewis, Kalpani Madhavika, Sahan Hettiarachchi, and Vihanga Ranaweera, whose expertise and dedication were instrumental in delivering the successful solution.

This achievement reinforces the Group's focus on leveraging technology to drive sustainable business improvements while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning across the organization.
