Role Purpose

To work actively in Group Corporate Communications and shape the Group’s narrative across Sri Lanka’s maritime, logistics, energy, and supply chain landscapes, ensuring consistent, impactful, and strategically aligned communication across all internal and external channels.

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of P&I and maritime claims, ensuring effective coordination and resolution
• Manage complex incidents including collisions, cargo damage, pollution, crew injuries, and disputes
• Interpret surveyor reports and provide expert, value-driven recommendations
• Liaise with P&I Clubs, lawyers, surveyors, government authorities, and medical institutions
• Ensure full compliance with IG Club guidelines, HSSE, and regulatory requirements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders
• Support business development initiatives and identify new opportunities
• Lead and mentor team members through training, supervision, and performance management

What We’re Looking For

• Qualification from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) or a Maritime Lawyer
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in shipping, P&I, or claims handling
• Strong knowledge of maritime law, P&I operations, and claims processes
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex cases under pressure
• Strong attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset
• Knowledge of financial/management concepts will be an advantage
• Willingness to be on-call during critical maritime incidents
