We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Executive – Documentation. The successful candidate will support import documentation activities, ensure accurate and timely processing of shipping documents, and coordinate effectively with customers, overseas principals, Customs, and other relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor day-to-day import documentation activities.
- Download, verify, and upload manifests within required deadlines.
- Handle timely release of EDOs and preparation of arrival notices and invoices.
- Prepare and update Cargo Manifests/e-Manifests for Sri Lanka Customs and SLPA.
- Liaise with overseas principals, local customers, and consignees regarding import shipments and related documentation.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding inbound shipments, charges, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate information in shipping and documentation systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant ISO procedures, company policies, HSSE requirements, and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Experience Required
- Degree or Diploma in Shipping & Logistics or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a documentation function.
- Good knowledge of import documentation processes.
- Knowledge of Sri Lanka Customs and Ports Authority rules and regulations.
- Strong customer-service mindset with good communication skills.
- Good analytical skills, flexibility, positivity, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work extended hours when required.
