World Subsea Services (Pvt) Ltd, a member of the McLarens Group, is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Commercial Diver to join our team in Sri Lanka.
As a Commercial Diver, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of underwater operations, including vessel inspections, hull cleaning, propeller polishing, underwater construction, and repair works.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct underwater inspections of vessel hulls and marine structures.
- Perform hull cleaning using hydraulic brush carts, water jets, scrapers, and other underwater equipment.
- Carry out propeller polishing and condition assessments.
- Assist with underwater construction, installation, and repair works.
- Perform underwater cutting, welding, securing, and related repair activities where required.
- Operate and maintain diving tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate dive records, inspection reports, photographs, and other documentation.
- Strictly adhere to diving safety standards, company procedures, environmental requirements, and applicable regulations.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Commercial Diver Certification (e.g., ADCI, IMCA, or equivalent recognized certification).
- Successful completion of a recognized commercial diving course.
- 1–2 years of relevant commercial diving experience, preferably in vessel inspection, hull cleaning, propeller polishing, maintenance, or underwater construction.
- First Aid and CPR certification; Advanced First Aid / Dive Medic certification will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of underwater tools, equipment, and safe diving practices.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and in varying weather and underwater conditions.
