Assistant Manager - Operations

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Assistant Manager – Operations to oversee end-to-end ship supply operations across Sri Lankan ports. The role will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate vessel deliveries while maintaining strong coordination with port authorities, terminals, internal teams, and vessel stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage vessel supply and on-board delivery operations across Sri Lankan ports.
• Coordinate with port authorities, terminals, Customs, agents, Masters, and internal teams.
• Plan vehicles, launch boats, labour, documentation, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with port, ISPS, HSE, Customs, and bonded procedures.
• Oversee job documentation, cost control, petty cash, and operational reporting.
• Manage long-stay and dry-dock vessel requirements and support business development.
• Lead and mentor the operations team while driving operational efficiency and service quality.

Skills and Experience Required

• 5–8+ years of experience in ship supply, chandling, marine operations, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan port/terminal operations and Customs/bonded procedures.
• Experience in on-board deliveries, dry-dock, and long-stay vessels is an advantage.
• Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to work in a field-based environment with frequent port attendance.
