Oracle System Administrator

McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under shared service as an Oracle System Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage application instance configurations and enterprise applications.
  • Ensure timely response and resolution of system issues and reported bugs.
  • Maintain high system uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Optimize and manage Oracle licenses in compliance with usage policies.
  • Document all changes, user access matrices, and configuration updates.
  • Conduct and participate in Oracle-related meetings and strategic discussions.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, issues, resolutions, and escalation logs.
  • Track and report number of issues resolved in-house vs. escalated to vendors.
  • Lead and complete Oracle-related projects within scope and timeline.
  • Administer and maintain application metadata, domains, and provisioning configurations.
  • Handle configuration set migrations, including data upload and download.
  • Ensure all systems adhere to industry best practices and security standards.
  • Act as a functional expert supporting business operations and process enhancements.
  • Keep certifications up to date and contribute to team knowledge through training and development.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for Oracle service providers and internal users.
  • Analyze business requirements, support change requests (CRs), and ensure successful deployments.
  • Identify and deploy automation and efficiency improvements to streamline operations.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle system administration.
  • Proficient in SQL for data manipulation and task automation.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and enterprise application management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
