McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under Maritime & Logistics cluster as a Manager-Vessel Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage communications with principals, vessels, vendors, and terminals, ensuring timely responses.
- Address any discrepancies when vessels are at berth to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage cargo declaration submissions for vessels, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Involve in berthing processes and ensure operational efficiency.
- Generate detailed competitor analysis reports regarding volumes.
- Create and manage electronic data interchange (EDI) reports for loading/discharging.
- Prepare monthly cash flow estimates.
- Review and ensure accurate processing of advance payments to Port/terminals.
- Develop and present operational reports and presentations as needed.
- Participate in regular meetings to discuss operational matters, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Contribute to the preparation of PDI for vessels, ensuring readiness for operations.
- Ensure Vessel husbandry operations are performed smoothly and further develop husbandry operations.
Qualifications and skills
- Proven experience in an operational management role, preferably with Car Carrier vessel Operations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in managing reports, invoices, and financial estimations.
- Familiarity with EDI systems and cargo operations.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
