Manager - Learning & Development

McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under shared service as a Manager-Talent Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the unit head of Talent Management unit at HR Department.
  • Lead the design and execution of talent management strategies including talent development aligned with the Organization’s objectives.
  • Responsible for the talent management and succession planning activities of  the organization and ensuring that the top talent is recognized and appropriate retention measures, including additional development opportunities, are in place for them.
  • Analyze and report on talent metrics to inform decision-making to the Director-HR.
  • Actively engage with the business heads to identify specific training requirements of the department/unit and provide sustainable training interventions, using a gap analysis to cater to the said requirement.
  • Responsible for developing the annual training calendar by identifying and collating training needs from year end appraisal process.
  • Develop, organize and host the company induction program for newcomers.
  • Responsible for the company management trainee development program.
  • Be in-charge of the Learning Management System(LMS) of the company.

Skills and Experience Required

  • A bachelor’s degree and/or professional qualification in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field. An MBA will be considered a strong asset.
  • A minimum of 8 Years of Experience in Human Resources within reputable organizations, with at least 3 years in managerial or assistant managerial capacity.
  • Proficiency in both Sinhala and English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to be an inspirational team player with strong leadership and administrative capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines effectively.
