McLarens group is now seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join as Junior Executive – Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Maersk Vessel Documentation, including Custom OT Applications and Navigation charges.
- Liaise with Maersk Local and Overseas teams for vessel and cargo-related documentation.
- Ensure final payments are prepared based on Throughput reports, aiming for zero delays and customer complaints.
- Attend to pre-arrival messages with regulatory updates to vessels, port, and relevant stakeholders.
- Update ETA and berthing notices to suppliers, vendors, and husbandry coordinators.
- Coordinate internally to meet principals’ requirements, minimizing operational delays and service complaints.
- Coordinate husbandry activities with vendors to ensure timely arrangements.
- Monitor work scope, following principal instructions, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with MSKLKCBM for follow-up matters, declarations, and communication with stakeholders.
- Check and compile Maersk Lanka documents for vessel formalities, ensuring accuracy and meeting operational KPIs.
- Obtain special permissions from authorities promptly, ensuring no operational issues.
- Monitor daily game plans, create vessel calls in the GAC Agent system, and update service activities.
- Ensure timely updates in the GAC Agent system for departure reports and services.
- Adhere to GAC policies, including compliances, ethics, and sanction policies, with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.
- Be on standby 24/7 to attend operations and handle emergency requirements.
- Board vessels in and outside ports when necessary, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
Qualifications and skills
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Shipping Agency and Husbanding operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
