McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under Maritime & Logistics cluster as a Junior Executive – Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Become fully conversant with the operation procedures outlined in the operations manual of the shipping department.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from Principals/customers and attend to operations once operations are allocated by the Managers/Assistant Managers.
- Keep abreast of the operation procedures of the shipping department to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Follow checklists diligently and execute entrusted duties in accordance with the procedures outlined in the operations manual.
- Stay up to date with GAC Agent and other system-related activities connected with operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to GAC compliances, ethics, sanction policies, etc.
- Effectively follow up on allocated jobs until completion and keep the supervisor informed of progress.
- Follow up on balance payment collection for all operations handled.
- Update all statistical reports as requested by management.
- Monitor with the disbursement accounts department on outstanding payments and close unfinished jobs promptly.
- Assist in finding new Principals and contribute to achieving monthly KPIs/budget.
- Daily update and promote launch facilities to existing local/foreign principals.
- Be on standby 24/7 to attend operations and respond to emergency requirements, including boarding vessels in and outside ports when necessary.
Skills and Experience Required
- Hold a diploma in a shipping-related course, demonstrating a foundational understanding of maritime logistics and operations.
- Possess 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within the shipping industry.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiency in IT tools.
- excellent interpersonal skills.
- Should possess good Analytical & Reasoning Skills.
