McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under Maritime & Logistics cluster as a General Manager – Shipping & Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Ensure efficient management of all logistics processes and service delivery.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the company budget while maintaining financial discipline.
- Strategic Development: Create and implement business strategies to enhance growth and market presence.
- Sales Target Setting: Establish company sales targets, monitor progress, and drive achievement.
- KPI Management: Develop and track KPIs, ensuring consistent performance and goal attainment.
- Operational Excellence: Implement and enforce best practices across operations for optimized efficiency.
- Performance Evaluation: Regularly assess financial and operational performance, providing detailed reports to senior management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
- Business Development: Identify and seize new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
- Cost Control: Ensure all operations are conducted within the allocated budget while achieving financial targets.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with principals, agents, and customers.
- Operational Supervision: Oversee MCS jobs and PCC operations, ensuring timely execution and adherence to KPIs.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve both individual and company goals.
- Talent Management: Recruit, train, and retain skilled staff to foster long-term performance and success.
- Cross-departmental Coordination: Ensure effective communication and coordination across all departments.
- Sales and Debt Management: Actively engage in sales activities and ensure timely debt collection within credit limits.
Qualifications and skills
- Proven 7 years experience in the Shipping, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or related industries.
- Bachelor’s degree , Logistics/Supply chain or Shipping.
- Strong background in customer service and handling logistics documentation.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- High ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and solve complex problems.
