Finance Manager

McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under shared service as a Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy of monthly and quarterly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets. Prepare and submit reports to shareholders.
  • Optimize the company’s working capital position through strict control and follow-up on receivables, as well as monitoring creditors.
  • Oversee all invoicing, payments, and receipts submitted by direct reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Maximize returns on excess funds by negotiating with banks for potential investment opportunities.
  • Successfully manage internal and external audits by delegating tasks to staff and facilitating the audit process.
  • Provide financial advice to management on the impact of mergers, acquisitions, or changes within the company.
  • Manage and implement the annual Group Current Accounts Settlement Plan in accordance with Sri Lanka standards and regulations. Supervise the intercompany receivable and payable balances.
  • Prepare annual budgets for the upcoming year & monitor KPIs on a continuous basis.
  • Establish controls and processes to ensure seamless integration of the frontend and backend systems.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and other relevant regulations/submissions relating to our companies.
  • Responsible for managing the team, including resource allocation, performance management, training, staff motivation, and other functions as per company requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Chartered Accountant/Chartered Institute of Management Accounting qualification/ ACCA
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, including experience in either audit or non-audit sectors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office functions, especially Excel.
  • Audit experience, with a strong understanding of auditing principles and practices.
  • Leadership qualities, with experience in team management, training, and development.
