McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under Maritime & logistics Cluster as an Executive – Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure daily updates of container movements into the system.
- Arrange loading and discharging declarations to feeder operators.
- Prepare and submit inventory reports to each party involved.
- Provide throughput statement summaries to the Accounting Department for each NVOCC line.
- Check invoices related to transshipments and update relevant systems accordingly.
- Attend to on-hire/off-hire activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing.
- Update damage container EOR in the local system for prompt container refunds.
- Monitor container destuffing requests and arrange empty trucking as needed.
- Assist with EQC (M&R) matters of NVOCC lines and coordinate ISO compliance.
- Coordinate with feeder operators for space reservation and loading pre-advice documents.
- Facilitate data transfer of all transshipment movements and maintain local movements for relevant systems.
- Coordinate 24-hour liner service and arrange discharging/loading activities.
- Submit necessary declarations and CDN details to required parties.
- Ensure accuracy in vessel creation, DG system approvals, and update volume to WHL LMR System.
Qualifications and skills
- Degree or diploma in Shipping & Logistics.
- 2 Year experience of in operation department(Port operation, Container operation or depo operations)
- Experience with Microsoft applications and systems.
- Awareness of container and shipping industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office functions and IT background.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- Knowledge of Sri Lanka customs and Ports Authority regulations.
