McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under Petroleum & Energy cluster as an Electrical Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and effectively manage the existing business operations.
- Support business development activities for the solar business in collaboration with the management team.
- Complete and commission rooftop solar installations efficiently.
- Work with installation teams to achieve project targets and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with CEB/LECO approvals for installations.
- Plan and execute operational and maintenance work for solar projects.
- Follow up on tender notices and track project performance in the system.
- Propose and implement improvements for operations and project management.
- Build and maintain relationships to generate new business leads in renewable energy/solar.
- Stay updated on competitor activities, market trends, and pricing to inform management.
- Coordinate with third-party organizations for installation and other project needs.
- Utilize technical knowledge to communicate effectively and contribute to project design and evaluation.
Qualifications and skills
- BSc in Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with managerial capacity in the electrical engineering field.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other solar power-related software.
- Knowledge in the preparation of tenders for solar projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Chartered Electrical Engineer qualification would be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
