Business Analyst

McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under Maritime & Logistics cluster as a Business Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough research and analyzing financial statements and market data is imperative for gaining insights into the financial health and competitive landscape of the business.
  • Assisting the Director in making informed decisions based on analysis findings ensures strategic alignment and minimizes risks.
  • Analyzing provided information, reports, and policies allows for a comprehensive understanding of internal processes and external factors impacting the business.
  • Coordinating with various departments to gather additional data fosters collaboration and ensures well-rounded analysis for effective decision-making.
  • Attending meetings as required and documenting minutes, when necessary, ensures accurate record-keeping and accountability within the organization.
  • Circulating minutes and relevant information to stakeholders promotes transparency and keeps all involved parties informed.
  • Preparing ad hoc reports and presentation slides supports business activities by providing clear and concise summaries of key information.
  • Adapting to requests from management for additional duties demonstrates flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting organizational goals.
  • Gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements is essential for identifying areas of improvement and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective solutions fosters innovation and drives positive change.
  • Developing and implementing process improvement strategies streamlines workflows and optimizes resource utilization.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting business data helps identify trends and opportunities, enabling data-driven decision-making for sustainable growth.
  • Perform and assist the Director on the report preparation and presentations duties when it is assigned.
  • Maintain the Director’s daily calendar by setting up meetings, remind on the day’s agenda, liaise with other deponents for the meeting set up and compiling the necessary documents.
  • Organize all travel requirements (local and overseas) from visa, flights, hotels, airport pick up to foreign currency and travel itinerary etc.
  • Respond to e-mail, calls, letters and other forms of communication to the Director and correspond with internal and external parties on request, Draft letters as relevant co internal and external parties.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Completion of Advance level in Mathematic stream.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Proficiency in Email and Microsoft Office functions.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in the English language (both written and spoken).
  • Proven ability to research, analyze, evaluate, and present findings effectively.
