McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under Maritime & Logistics cluster as an Assistant Manager-Sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with potential and existing customers to secure business and drive revenue growth for the company.
- Introduce new customers while ensuring the retention of existing clients through effective relationship management.
- Prepare, plan, and execute strategies to achieve assigned sales targets.
- Consistently monitor performance and take proactive steps to meet or exceed targets.
- Adhere to company credit policies, ensuring timely follow-up on payments.
- Work to minimize debtor risk and protect the company’s financial interests.
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers, airlines, forwarders, and other logistics partners.
- Educate the sales team on market changes, updates, and emerging trends to enhance their performance.
- Ensure the sales team has the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in a fast-paced market.
- Present market statistics, trends, and updates to the management team, helping them make informed, strategic business decisions.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by management, in line with the current role.
Qualifications and skills
- A professional qualification in Logistics or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in sales within the freight forwarding industry.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language.
- A valid driver’s license with the ability to travel as required.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage customer accounts and deliver results within deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to present market insights and strategies to management.
