McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under Maritime & Logistics cluster as an Assistant Manager Customer Service (Sea & Air Freight).
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Customer Services Department to guarantee customers are serviced to their utmost satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team to fulfill customer requirements efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct rate negotiations with carriers and agency networks when necessary, leveraging your negotiation skills to secure favorable terms.
- Provide timely and accurate quotations to customers and ensure follow-up and delivery are carried out seamlessly.
- Develop and implement effective customer service procedures, policies, and standards (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and maintain consistency.
- Ensure timely responses to customer issues, maintaining accurate records, and preparing insightful reports for management review.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry updates, practices, and techniques to continuously improve service delivery.
- Train and mentor team members to uphold and exceed customer service standards, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Set and track customer satisfaction goals, collaborating with the team to achieve and exceed targets.
Qualifications and skills
- A solid understanding of customer service concepts, methods, and best practices.
- 3+ years of experience in a customer service leadership role.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
