McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join as an Assistant Manager – Business Development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new sales leads while nurturing existing client relationships.
- Build strong customer rapport through excellent service and regular engagement.
- Prepare quotations and customized solutions in collaboration with the HOD.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with active follow-ups on prospects.
- Support customer retention and growth through BTL marketing initiatives.
- Schedule and attend client meetings aligned with performance targets.
- Conduct market research to uncover new opportunities and customer segments.
- Represent the company at industry events and share insights internally.
- Collaborate with the HOD on new service offerings and sales strategies.
- Assist in the sales cycle by tracking account activity and supporting deal closures.
- Coordinate with credit control to ensure timely collections.
- Clearly communicate client needs and pitch tailored logistics solutions.
- Maintain daily records of calls and client visits for transparency.
- Review and update the sales pipeline weekly to monitor progress.
Qualifications and skills
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, or professional qualification in SLIM/CIM.
- Minimum 5 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years in the logistics sector.
- Exposure to 3PL operations is essential; warehouse experience will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel.
