McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join as an Assistant General Manager – Transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day transport and project logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies for entire fleet management, including effective maintenance, route optimization, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee project logistics planning, including heavy lift and oversized cargo movements.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver seamless solutions.
- Monitor KPIs, budgets, and performance metrics of the Transport Division to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and company policies.
- Mentor and develop the transport and Project logistics teams to build capability and engagement.
- Expand and retain the customer base, ensuring a higher level of customer satisfaction in service deliveries.
- Prepare reports and updates for senior management and key stakeholders.
Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration; MBA would be a definite advantage.
- Professional qualifications in Logistics / Project Management would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in transport and project logistics, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
- Proven expertise managing large fleets, subcontractors, and complex logistics projects.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and MS Office.
- Innovative and entrepreneurial approach.
