We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, statutory compliance, treasury management, and financial governance while supporting business growth through sound financial management and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts and present for the Board of Directors, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Formulate budgets, monitor expenditures, and engage in budgetary control activities for assigned companies.
- Ensure statutory compliance with tax and regulatory requirements; maintain accurate documentation and records, timely submission of Principal reporting requirements.
- Prepare and submit quarterly KPI and strategy updates to management and principals.
- Manage treasury functions by ensuring adequate banking facilities and monitoring interest/exchange rates to optimize funding costs.
- Maintain and update the company’s Process Manual, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s credit policy and conduct periodic reviews for alignment with business needs.
- Supervise subordinates’ work, providing guidance and ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Review and approve payment vouchers, invoices, journal entries, and receipts, ensuring proper filing and documentation.
Skills and Experience Required
- Full qualification in CA / CIMA / ACCA.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and taxation.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in shipping and logistics industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
