McLarens group is seeking an aspiring, energetic & a competent individual to join under shared service as an Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial reporting – prepare, review and analyze monthly and quarterly management accounts, highlight variances, and present findings to the Board of Directors. Prepare and report on KPIs and strategy updates to the management team, providing valuable insights for decision-making
- Budgeting – formulate company budgets, engage in budgetary control activities, and review cash flow forecasts.
- Compliance – ensure strict statutory compliance, including tax, PUCSL, and other relevant regulations for the companies handled. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of year-end audited accounts. Handle company tax cases, coordinate with tax consultants, and attend meetings with IRD and TAC.
- Accounts payables & Accounts Receivables – Review agreements with suppliers, customers, and other parties, offering feedback and recommendations.
- Pricing strategies – Support the sales team with pricing strategies to win tenders and special orders.
- Inventory Management – ensure accuracy in projections to maintain optimum inventory levels in the company reduce inventory holding and prevent stock-out situations.
- Treasury functions – ensuring the availability of adequate banking facilities, optimizing interest costs, and monitoring exchange rates to minimize exposure.
- People management – play the role of team lead of the shared service to ensure operational KPIs are met.
Skills and Experience Required
- BSc in Accounting or a related field.
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), or ACCA qualification.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the audit/non-audit sector.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong knowledge of SLFRS and IFRS accounting standards.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and taxation laws.
